It’s a very well directed movie. I almost thought it’s filmed years ago then I looked up online and found out it just came out early this April. Two thumbs up for Jiang Haiyang. He brought us something so refreshing that I changed my view of Chinese film. I always think China can’t make some good movies with good stories. Examination 1977 was all about the restoring the College Entrance Examination in 1977, a historic year for people in their 50’s and 60’s now. After a decade in remote village working on farms they finally got a chance to go back to school and finsh where they left.

I wish I could see this movie in the theatre.
